Why are developmental milestones an important consideration for children with Traumatic Brain Injury?
The effects of trauma on a child may not be evident for some time as the injury occurred to the developing brain. It is important for life care planners to realize that children with head injuries may look fine for some time, but may develop problems in the future as they are challenged by more complex and serious tasks.
