Question

What is the difference between a stroke and a transient ischemic attack (TIAs)?

Answer

TIAs cause only temporary neurological deficits, whereas strokes produce permanent neurological deficits. A cerebrovascular accident (CVA), also known as a stroke, occurs when blood supply to the brain is interrupted, and may cause significant permanent neurological damage.
