Question

What are the cost estimates for chronic pain?

Answer

According to your Life Care Planning and Case Management Handbook, “cost estimates for chronic pain include medications, equipment repair and replacement, and 1- to 2- year reevaluations with x-rays, blood work, and consultations of the individual specialists will be necessary. It may also be necessary to include physical therapy and psychological counseling reevaluations. As the patient with chronic pain ages, additional evaluations and treatments with upgrades in equipment and possible surgical interventions may also be required.”
