Question
What is assistive technology?
Answer
Assistive technology is using any device that will help a person with a disability or disabling condition to reach their social, vocational, and educational potential. Thus, assistive technology helps individuals with disabilities live more independently. Assistive technology can have low- technology (non-electronically based) or high-technology (electronically based) applications.
